Exam Planning
We have a comprehensive Exam Planner that guides and inspires students before and during the exam process. This planner is available in both English and Afrikaans.
We attend schools and educational centres to address students and parents on the importance of exam planning, time management, stress management and effective communication in a language that GenZ understands and is inspired by.
We have an online portal that gives students access to on-going support, access to past papers and memos with summary notes, tutorial videos and motivational content.

Academix is a company owned by Mrs Cheri Ward
A mother of two teenage girls, 15 years ago Mrs Ward developed an exam preparation course for the students attending her private tutoring school in Johannesburg. She tutored students learning the CAPS, IEB, CAMBRIDGE and IMPAK Syllabus and saw a gap in all of these structures when it came to skills necessary for her students to be successful. She taught her students how to summarise, she evaluated them and established their preferred learning style and adapted their study methods to suit their styles. She saw great results and the exam preparation process quickly became her trademark.
She studied LAW at UKZN and had a special passion for Psychology and Languages. Her gift is the manner in which she is able to connect and speak to students in a way that makes them feel inspired and heard. Her passion for uplifting and equipping our youth while having a deep understanding of the challenges faced by Generation Z in the school structure as well as the difficulties parents face having to develop, support and encourage their GenZ children.
Mrs Ward is a skilled communicator to students and parents alike and bridges the generational communication gap. She is also an accomplished sports coach, specialising in individual confidence building, team dynamics and high performance athletes and parents to high performance athletes.
Mrs Ward has a passion for public speaking and coaching speakers for personal development and growth. She coaches speakers for public speaking competitions and had a national top 10 speaker in 2022 and finalists for the ATKV redenaars in 2018 and 2019. She coaches debating and empowers speakers to speak comfortably and effectively. She takes particular interest in teaching young girls to communicate effectively, speak in front of people and having the courage to stand up for what they believe in. Her best personal public speaking memory was addressing 2000 delegates at the Junior Chamber of Commerce including late President Nelson Mandela.
Mrs Ward believes that school-related success can be achieved by any student that has been given the necessary tools. She sees it as her responsibility to help equip our students with those tools.
